The Minister of Health, Dr. Osagie Ehanire, said on Thursday the Federal Government is not considering the imposition of a travel ban on any country due to the outbreak of coronavirus.
Ehanire disclosed this in Abuja while addressing the diplomatic community about measures taken by the federal government to tackle the likely spread of the virus in Nigeria.
The minister, who said there was no need to impose a travel restriction at this time, reassured foreign diplomats of the measures put in place by the federal government to contain the spread of the virus.
He also told the diplomats that Nigeria has not reached the point of banning large gatherings.
He said the country is guided by the World Health Organisation guideline on coronavirus containment.
